This time of year is busy here. We have Aaron's & Kenna-Rae's birthdays back to back and a couple weeks later it's Violet's birthday. Throw in Mother's Day & there's a lot happening.

Violet is waving hello and goodbye, shaking her head no, took her first independent steps, is freestanding for long periods of time, naps are finally started to get more predictable and regular, and FINALLY started sleeping through the night!!!!

I got out for a short quiet walk ALONE at a pace I got to set, listening to some music on my airpods:)

Kenna-Rae and I went down to the beach in Willowpoint, as Aaron and Violet went for a bike ride.

Kenna-Rae's first haircut

This haircut is quite a story of an elaborate plan. Ella, Kenna-Rae's beloved Jellycat elephant was getting so worn out that we were staring to see her stuffing. About 6 months before I had gone to two local area toy stores and ordered a backup Ella. In this time it was taking months as Jellycat orders sat in containers on ships and in shipyards. All the while Jellycat discontinued the original version of the elephant known as Smudge. The new version was 2 inches larger, a little more brown, and fluffier. We came up with a plan that Kenna-Rae, Ella and I would go to the salon and get our hair/fur done. Mama & Kenna-Rae would get some haircuts while Ella got her fur tended to and fluffed up. I was really unsure if this was going to fly, but it did! Kenna-Rae loves Ella the second and comments often on her nice fluffy fur:)

I hadn't had a haircut in over 2 years, and had 4 inches of damaged hair cut off. Kenna-Rae got about an inch and a half cut off for her first haircut. We saved a few of her little curls.
