All caught up! So grateful that nanny Tabitha had her booster shot and is back. Kenna-Rae missed her a lot, and with Aaron's return to work only a few months away we need to start transiting Violet to being in Tabitha's care as well. Kenna-Rae has entered the threenager zone... enough said there.
We have been exploring more solids with Violet, with her favs so far being broccoli, avocado, pasta, and cheese. We hit a bump in the road with her reflux meds, but after a week of trial and error got that sorted out. Hopefully she won't need to be on the medication for much longer. Violet can walk around the house endlessly if she is pushing something, and continuously chases her big sis around. She is climbing everything and moves very quickly. She is finally more agreeable to being in the stroller, and getting outside.
Aaron has a torn meniscus, but is unsure of exactly how that happened. He is working with his physiotherapist and it is improving. He has had some ups and downs with his back issues, and is still anticipating a gradual return to work in June. He is dedicated to his physio program, is walking regularly, and recently got back out on the bike.
I have been working pretty minimal hours 3 days a week, continuing with my existing clients, but not really taking on any new work. Violet is still getting up 4 times at night so my brain isn't functioning optimally and with Aaron's back the childcare (and lifting the 20+ pound infant) isn't helping his recovery. I will maintain working minimally as we transition to Tabitha taking on more of Violet's care, and Aaron's return to work likely through to the end of the summer.
Enjoying the transition to solids
