October 2023

We had a beautiful fall in Campbell River and made the most of the time outdoors. We got one last visit to Holly Hills Farm and the Aquarium.

These two have fun at the waterpark whether there is water or not.

Trying out some new hairdos for school.
These are space kitty buns

While Kenna-Rae was at school,
Violet and I went to the spit for some scootering and throwing rocks into the ocean.

Kiddos at Elk Falls

What a fabulous fall!

I found a triceratops and a deer in Kenna-Rae's bedroom.

Look, I have a baguette!

Working on their letters

Things can be so peaceful and quiet.... until they aren't.

An enthusiastic walk around the block.

A visit to the playground by Uncle Ray's house

I discovered our toilet in the main bathroom was leaking, which meant we need to replace the flooring. Which turned into getting new white baseboards.... contemplating a new vanity.... And if you're doing it for one bathroom, then why not do the ensuite as well (you know for consistency)...
This continues to be a work in progress....

Hallowe'en

Carving pumpkins with Daddy

Violet and Kenna-Rae drew faces and then Daddy got to carve them out. Should be easy right?

I think he did a pretty good job!

Triceratops and Fawn

We went trick or treating to our library, which was giving out books.

Then it was off to Tasha's Dad's.

After that we went to Tasha's brother's and then did an entire row of houses along our street. The kids loved it!

A visit from Auntie Andrea.

Annual Family Photo Shoot

And with Nanny Tabi

And finishing it off with a lollipop,
something Nycky-jay is known for:)

Always on the lookout for puddles to splash in!

Kenna-Rae started Preschool at the Campbell River Community Preschool.

I took the kiddos to Port Alberni to see my Grandma and Great Aunty Kaye

Kenna-Rae enjoying the playground at my old elementary school Penfield.

The stories those big old tires could tell!

Along with a discovery of significant separation anxiety with starting preschool Kenna-Rae had some concerning tummy issues that we went to the local ER to start investigating.
All serious issues have been ruled out, so that is a relief.

Even feeling crumby doesn't keep her down and out.

Out for a scooter ride along the seawall

Fun at Willow Creek

We ended off September on the 30th with attending the local Spirit Square Orange Shirt Day, to acknowledge the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
