February 2020

February saw Kenna-Rae building her confidence with using furniture to stand up and take a couple of steps. She also started the odd free stand for a second or two.

Kenna-Rae having a visit with Aunti Lynette, Jody and her cousies in Nanaimo

And so begins the climbing phase...

Trying out her sunnies for our trip to Australia!

A visit from Gramps and Elizabeth before our big adventure.

February 12 we headed off to Australia for a visit with Aaron's brother Matt, Che, Milla, Edie, and Romy. Kenna-Rae's first flight was an epic one, and she handled it like a trooper.

In fact she was so excited that she slept all of 3-4 hours in our 24 hour + travel day.

Arriving at the Sydney airport, uncle Matt picked us up.

Roseville Chase Beach, for her first beach experience.

 Palm Beach

Look at those cute little teeth!

Off to walk the girls to preschool.

Fruit bats pass by their place every night and it is the coolest thing to see!

Playing with Auntie Che

Even with her first cold, she was a happy little bundle of snotty joy.

Watching Uncle Matt & Daddy outside

The Reptile Park, which I have to tell ya, is a whole lot more than reptiles. I was quite nervous given I am not a fan of reptiles, but they call it that because there is a recovery centre for reptiles there. We got to experience kangaroos roaming around and get the photo ops with the koalas.

Time for a mini road trip. We headed a bit north to visit my dear friend Laura, and meet her little guy Theo. We met up in Terrigal over a couple of days and it was so lovely to see them.

Then it was back to Sydney for the remaining half of or trip.
Granny arrived for our last week in Sydney.
Curl Curl Beach

A trip on the ferry from Manly Park through Sydney Harbour, past the opera house and bridge.

Stay tuned for more of Australia in March...

January 2020

Some fun milestones for the new year. January saw Kenna-Rae go from rocking on all fours to crawling, and boy can she move! Not only is she crawling, but she will walk assisted, and is holding onto things and standing up. She has also really been enjoying her adventures into solids. It has been such an exciting time for us as a family:)

And she's on the move!

And the baby proofing begins!

Daddy and Kenna-Rae headed to Family Place group.

Then all of a sudden she was pulling herself up

At the moment Kenna-Rae loves her morning cheesy eggs with toast.

Walking with assistance

Now pulling herself up with ease

And constantly on the move!

Stay tuned for a fun February, which includes our trip to Australia...
