The Completed Renos

I found the pictures I took when I first viewed the place

Well our home is feeling very lived in now.  Let me take you for a little tour of the finished product...

Another sunrise from my room in the back, with a little peakaboo of the ocean.

There are still a few little things left to do.
I want to paint the bathroom vanities & get new faucets eventually.
We would like to replace the carpet on the stairs at some point.
We also intend to put a shed & garden box in the backyard as well as putting up a fence.

A long time coming...

Well I have finally gotten around to putting together a post of the before pictures taken of the townhouse we purchased in mid August 2012.

We hadn't even thought about purchasing when we decided to move to Ladysmith, but a great opportunity came up on a foreclosed townhouse so we took the plunge.  Our fantastic realtor Gerry Beltgens from Royal LePage  was amazing & helped us along the process of the foreclosure every step of the way.  He is very good at crisis management as I called him in a panic on a few occasions. Thank you Gerry!

The previous owner left a lot of garbage behind & I was taken back when I arrived on possession day.

All the garbage hauled out into the carport

Our friend Cam was kind enough to lend us his truck.
Loaded up & ready to go to the dump.

All tidied up & ready to renovate, with a crazy 3 week reno time line before move in day.

The main floor

I picked out some flooring at Home Depot with Aaron's final stamp of approval.  I went with a Chocolate vinyl peel & stick and Chestnut laminate.

We hired an interior decorator Jacinta Shelling of Beyond Decor to pick out the paint colours that would go with our furniture.  We have been down the road of picking the wrong paint colours before & were not wanting to take that chance this time around.
We decided to work with the beige colour the previous owner had done on the main floor
(which actually all ended up getting repainted anyway).

The flooring arrives:)
Except I had to unload it all on my own as Aaron was still up north during the reno phase:(

Note the flooring below the boxes as a good before shot.

Aaron laid the vinyl peel & stick which turned out better than I even anticipated.
He did the 2 upstairs bathrooms & the entrance way.

We hired my Uncle Dave Anderosov to do the painting.
He helped us out a lot in Fort Langley & did a fantiatic job on the paint there, so it just made sense.

A whole lotta puttying going on!!!

Todd Drew of Harbour City Flooring did the laminate flooring and baseboards.  He did a fantastic job!  You will see the pictures of the flooring below as he worked alongside the painter, in our cramped reno time frame.

 Time to paint.

The master bedroom all painted with new floors.

Living room complete.

Dinning room in progress.

My room upstairs for crafts & what not.

I will work on a post with pictures of the completed rooms & post it within the next few days.
