September 2021

Okay, so I think we are getting the hang of this family of 4 thing... no not for real, I'm just kidding! We are still a couple of adult zombies, trying to put one foot in front of the other. Aaron is currently off work due to back issues. he has been diagnosed with both degenerative disc disease and a bulging disc, the latter of which has been causing him a great deal of pain. We are waiting for an appointment with the specialist to see what will be the plan of action for that.

Kenna-Rae has mastered the 30 piece puzzle and started potty training at the end of September.

Not sure how it's gone by so quickly, but it's 3 months for Violet being here in the big world with us. September saw our first poonami incident, which happened to be in the car seat on the way home from the Pediatrician's office, and Violet rolled from front to back. She is weighing in at a solid 15 pounds!

Kenna-Rae is still obsessed with big trucks and diggers. Nanny Tabi often takes her around the neighborhood to watch the new construction comings and goings:)

Not yet tired form her big adventure it was home to the backyard for more play

Kenna-Rae and I have been getting out several afternoons, while Aaron attempts to get Violet to take the bottle. Not much success in the bottle department, but Kenna-Rae and I are sure enjoying the quality time together.

What do you mean this 6 month old outfit is a bit snug on me?

Waking up looking like she just stepped out of a salon, haha.

August 2021

It's 2 months with us for Violet. She has been through 2 of her Wonder Week brain development leaps and is now able to blow bubbles, reach for things, and play with her rattles. She has amazing neck strength and is growing at a very fast rate! She has doubled her birth weight and is nearly 15lbs. Violet is now on reflux medication, and by the end of the month she was sleeping in the crib or playpen for all of her naps. At night she sleeps 3-4 hours, then 2-3 hours, and then 1-2 hours, so she is being very kind to us.

Kenna-Rae's language continues to develop with new words daily and 5 word sentences. She continues to work on her numbers and letters. She still LOVES big trucks and machines, and being outdoors. She adores her 'baby sissy' and as a result we keep a close eye on all her loving as she would squeeze the love out of Violet if given a chance.

We have all made the initial adjustment to life with a toddler and baby. Aaron and I are walking upright as humans most of the time.

Kenna-Rae's favourite treat when she eats all her dinner is banana and Annie's chocolate bunnies

All that dancing tuckered Violet out, she's not used to keeping up with her sister yet.

2 Months!

Not happy about getting her first immunizations...

Adoring sisters

My Grandma Anderosov came for a visit to meet Violet. 4 generations in one place:)

The last few weeks Kenna-Rae has really enjoyed playing on the sundeck.

Playing in her kitchen

Kenna-Rae quite enjoys weeding and gardening, and is quite a good helper.

No mama, I am not going to smile... but I'm still cute!

Kenna-Rae loves matching her jammies to little sissy. Lots of time spent in those hedgehogs!

Story time is always a favourite.

We had fish and chips at my Dad's as a belated Father's Day celebration.
Kenna-Rae really enjoyed picking cucumbers in Gramps' garden, and playing in the expansive lawn.

Safe from big sissy's hand when shes contained!

The growns ups...
Well, Aaron has been having some challenges with his back and found out he has degenerative disc disease, and upon further probing discovered he has a bulging disc. This has obviously impacted his ability to work, and he has been working administratively rather than on the road for a while, as he has been declared physically unfit for duty. We will keep you all posted as we wait for specialist referrals and appointments.

Me, well not much new here. I don't leave the house except for medical appointments, and spend most of my days packing around a rather heavy baby, who doesn't approve of being put down for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. This also explains why it takes me forever to get a blog post done! Que demanding baby...
