Back home

Mid March saw some shifts in our family functioning, as Aaron finished his paternity leave and returned to work. As Tasha had returned to working 4 half days a week in September 2019, this meant a need for child care. After a great deal of thought Tasha decided to cut down to working 3 days a week to feel more balance. In January we posted a nanny position, in February we did interviews and short listed 2 great nannies to do trial runs with. Honestly either way we had 2 great options.  We ended up deciding on Tabitha and it has been working out great! She started when returned from Australia, so her and Aaron had a bit of overlap. This worked out perfectly! Kenna-Rae has adapted well to the changes.

February 2020

February saw Kenna-Rae building her confidence with using furniture to stand up and take a couple of steps. She also started the odd free stand for a second or two.

And so begins the climbing phase...

Trying out her sunnies for our trip to Australia!

A visit from Gramps and Elizabeth before our big adventure.

February 12 we headed off to Australia for a visit with Aaron's brother Matt, Che, Milla, Edie, and Romy. Kenna-Rae's first flight was an epic one, and she handled it like a trooper.

In fact she was so excited that she slept all of 3-4 hours in our 24 hour + travel day.

Arriving at the Sydney airport, uncle Matt picked us up.

Roseville Chase Beach, for her first beach experience.

 Palm Beach

Look at those cute little teeth!

Off to walk the girls to preschool.

Fruit bats pass by their place every night and it is the coolest thing to see!

Playing with Auntie Che

Even with her first cold, she was a happy little bundle of snotty joy.

Watching Uncle Matt & Daddy outside

The Reptile Park, which I have to tell ya, is a whole lot more than reptiles. I was quite nervous given I am not a fan of reptiles, but they call it that because there is a recovery centre for reptiles there. We got to experience kangaroos roaming around and get the photo ops with the koalas.

Time for a mini road trip. We headed a bit north to visit my dear friend Laura, and meet her little guy Theo. We met up in Terrigal over a couple of days and it was so lovely to see them.

Then it was back to Sydney for the remaining half of or trip.
Granny arrived for our last week in Sydney.
