September 2022

We had a beautiful September, and spent a lot of time exploring different playgrounds around Campbell River. We have found some favourite parks for the weekdays, and she great school playgrounds for the weekends. Kenna-Rae is more confident with exploring higher features of the playgrounds, and Violet is more agile and able to explore a lot on her own. It's been pretty fun!

Kenna-Rae and I spent an afternoon at the Comox Valley RC Air field watching Gramps' planes have their first flight.

When the kids see rainbows we have associated them with Grandpa Richard (Aaron's Dad).
Sometimes the light catches the sun catcher in a window or the front glass of the door and rainbows fall across the walls. The kids associate that with Grandpa Richard saying hello.

Still lots of reading happening around here.

Watching their favourite tv show, the front window happenings:)

I had a day work day with no clients, so I decided to pop over to Port Alberni for a short surprise visit with Grandma Anderosov:)

August 2022

We have had a beautiful August here in Campbell River. We have had some heat waves, but we are lucky our house has a heat pump so we manage the heat well. Even if we get hot outside we can come in and cool down.

For Violet's development, she had her third and fourth molars come in. She can walk incredible distances and absolutely loves walking and riding the tricycle, as she has a very adventurous spirit. Both kids continue to grow and sprout up. I have been moving Kenna-Rae's outgrown clothes directly into Violet's closet! Kenna-Rae has been practicing on her scooter and still enjoys her balance bike as well as practicing peddling on the tricycle. Kenna-Rae will be ready for a regular bike without training wheels for next summer, and her balance bike will pass along to Violet who has already been riding it a bit.

Aaron has continued with his gradual return to work forces back issues, has been going to physio and staying very physically active with waking and biking which has helped him tremendously. He will continue to gradually increase the hours he wears his duty vest, and gun belt as that will be the real test for hi back.

I continue to work part time, am still figuring out what that looks like, and how that works while prioritizing family life. I think I will have that figured out by the time they turn 19....

It has been a weekly trip to ride our bike & trailer down to Frank James Park where the carvings are. In July Kenna-Rae was scared of the big bear, and slowly she has been getting closer and closer to it.

We have the backyard set up well for the kiddos & Nanny Tabi,
so if it has been really hot they don't have to go far from home.
