We managed to pack a whole lot in to December.
Violet turned 6 months. She slept for 8 hours straight for the first (and only) time. That night happened to be the night we had our Christmas dinner, so I am sure the level of stimulation helped. We discovered she loves the jolly jumper, oatmeal, and yams. She adores her sister more and more every day. When Kenna-Rae comes in to get her up after naps her face lights up to see her big sis.
Kenna-Rae has really taken to the roll of big sis, she is also into copying the every day tasks she sees, like feeding Ella (her prized elephant) yams, tucking her in for naps, and ensuring she gets time in the activity centre and jolly jumper.
Aaron's back is slowly improving. He is dedicated to his physio routine, and I am sure if it weren't for having to pick up a 20+ pound baby and a toddler it would likely be a bit better by now.
For the month of December we got my office setup in the back garage, and I started working Tuesday afternoons to prepare for my return to work and reconnect with my clients arranging for January appointments.
Sadly on December 23 we laid our nanny off due to the current wave of the pandemic. We are hopeful this wave will pass soon and she will be back before long. The timing did not fit so well with my return to work a week later, but it is what it is!
Future pianist?
So for now we are hunkered down as a family of 4, and will rid out this wave....
