July 2019

I apologize for the delay in my monthly post. We got hit with the Norovirus in the beginning of August, and have been tending to a rather needy baby. More on that in the August post! So here are the highlights of July...
Wearing her sweater Great Grandma Anderosov knitted for her.
P.S. Grandma and I had not talked to plan matching outfits

We were so glad Karen was able to make it over for a quick trip to meet Kenna-Rae.
She was happily cozied up in Karen's arms

Jess came out from New Brunswick, and got some Kenna-Rae cuddle time.

Karin was so kind to be the ultimate hostess for Kenna-Rae's baby shower.

It was truly Pinterest worthy!

With Aunty Andrea is one of her happy places for sure.

Friends since before we could drive. Karin, Jess and I have had intersecting lives as adults, and I am so glad to have them in my life! They have seen a lot of changes in my life over the years and for our family, and they warmly embraced the growth of our family with love and celebration.

Hanging out at The Mill Coffee Shop after the baby shower.

Before we knew it Aunty Jess's visit had come to an end.

Our favourite Ausnadians were in Canada for 6 weeks this summer, so Kenna-Rae was pretty excited to go to Gibsons and meet Uncle Matt, Auntie Che, Milla, Edie and Romy!

The ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay, one more ferry to go!

Edie meeting cousin Kenna-Rae.

Uncle Matt meeting Kenna-Rae, what a good way to celebrate his birthday!

Milla saying her first hellos to Kenna-Rae.

Milla, Edie, Ella & Romy enamored with baby.

Enjoying the view from Gramma's Pub.

Jodi and Ken were generous and kind to have us in their beautiful suite, while we were there. If you are looking for an Airbnb in Gibsons, we highly recommend it!

Kenna-Rae loves her bath time!

A little bit of snoozing...

Romy's 2nd birthday

Meeting Great Uncle Ken and Dianne

Aaron's cousin James came out for a brief visit from London England. We went to the Gibson's car show, where he had his picture taken with my Uncle Ken's car.

Jodi & Ken hosted a lovely celebration for our Ausnadian's to celebrate their trip to their Canadian hoe, as well as the week of birthdays.

Just a little nap...

Ella saying goodbye and telling Kenna-Rae to remember being a baby because she forgets that time (so cute).

Homeward bound

A long day of travel tuckered her out.

2 Months! We were a little late, but better late than never;)

Nuzzled in with Uncle Ray

Big baby? Big cat?

She loves bath time!

Another month went by in the blink of an eye!

June 2019

It's evident that June has had a continued theme of napping...

More family visits with Kane, Kole, Ray, & Nicole

June 5 was my Mom's birthday, so we went out for fish & chips which was one of her favourites.

Followed with a walk to the Pier.

Meeting cousin Lynette, who I'm sure Kenna-Rae will be calling Aunty.

Snuggling in the Moby wrap with Daddy.

Meeting my Auntie Diana

For Father's day we went out for a sushi lunch

Kenna-Rae loves being bounced on the ball for comfort.

 Daddy does daily tummy time.

We celebrated Kenna-Rae's first National Indigenous People's Day at the Big House watching cousin Kole drum and sing for the opening ceremonies, and in the afternoon popped by the events at Spirit Square.

We went out on our first mommy daughter fun outing to The Mill Coffee Shop in Comox to visit Karin (and eat the most delicious sandwich ever!).

Taking her first bottle

Nelson & Tracy's Wedding, she was a very happy guest.

Sadly in June, we also had to have our beloved Ilo put down.

He has been with Aaron and I for nearly the entirety of our 16 years together, so it has been a big adjustment for us not having him around, and he is deeply missed by his brothers Koloa & Smudge
