Trip to Ontario

It is always well worth the long journey to Charlton Ontario.
We caught a red eye that brought us to Ontario in the early morning while the moon was still up.After landing in Toronto we were headed north to Charleton.

We arrived in plenty of time for Uncle Lanny's Memorial,
and enjoyed the lovely bench honouring Lanny's memory

We headed back to Pat & Roxanne's to visit

A beer and peanut toast was very fitting

We had birthday cake to recognize Lanny's birthday

The evening of the memorial we released lanterns

There was kayaking... and kayak flipping...

And swimming

Danielle, Rosie, Aaron & I played dominoes

Jessica, Denis, Andy & Jackie played poker

We enjoyed some time on the float boat with Pat as our captain

Everyone loves a baby, especially cute little Finn... Well everyone except Samba...

We enjoyed an evening of music with Andy on guitar

We walked over to check out the bench memorializing Lanny

Roxanne, Pat & Samba

A lovely view of Pat & Roxanne's beautiful lake house.

We went for a walk and had some laughs...

Found a bike that had likely been stolen

Our last dinner with Renee, Roxanne & Pat before heading south

We headed down to Hamilton to see our friend Lynn. Our last night we went to Toronto to catch the Bluejays game against Minnesota.

Remembering Gramps

My Gramps, Peter Michael Anderosov, passed away on June 27, 2015.  The loss of a family members comes with reflection of good memories and time spent together.  Here are a few pictures I have taken over the last 10 years with Gramps in them.

Remembrance Day 2014

I will have my own little ceremony of Remembrance this November as I continue our tradition, and lay a poppy for him.

Kole's birthday April 2015

I will miss listening to Gramps' stories of strength and resilience, but I feel blessed that I had the privileged of spending so much time with him and having a solid sense of Anderosov grounding in my Doukhobor roots, his adventures growing up and finding his independence, and joining the Merchant Navy.  I will be sure to carry forth his stories for future generations.

Kole's Headstart Graduation

I had the privilege of attending my nephew Kole's graduation from the Headstart program, held at the Campbell River Bighouse.  It was an awesome day, and I am so happy I was able to go!
